Shania is a Bronx-born digital journalist who first dabbled in film criticism during her final years of undergrad, writing for the independent publication FlipScreen. Since then, she's been exploring the realm of entertainment journalism as a freelance writer. She is an avid consumer of stories, especially those that feature musical numbers, queer characters, unhinged women, or — ideally — all three. Shania is currently writing on the News Desk at /Film, but additional bylines can be found at various publications, including Paste Magazine, What To Watch, ButWhyThoPC, and Flip Screen.
Education
Shania has a bachelor's degree in Media and Cultural Studies from Macalester College.
